RMT – Registered Massage Therapy
Christine’s interest in the healing arts was borne out of her life experiences, having first hand experience with serious injuries and overcoming them. Christine graduated from Sutherland-Chan School and Teaching Clinic in 2004. She is Level I Reiki trained and is a Therapeutic Touch practitioner. She is also a Certified Rehabilitation Counsellor (CRC). Her studies continue in Craniosacral, Neuromuscular, and Structural Integration Therapy. Using an integration of Swedish Massage and Myofascial Release techniques, Christine has a unique set of skills and experience in the management of chronic diseases, acute injuries, and the effects of long-term stress on the body. She has successfully assisted clients with many challenging conditions such as repetitive strain injuries (tennis and golfer’s elbow), fibromyalgia, carpal tunnel syndrome, TMJ dysfunction, sprains and strains, frozen shoulder, postural imbalances, whiplash, headaches, sciatica, sports injuries, muscle tension, anxiety and insomnia.
Christine will work with you towards identifying the causal factors impacting your well-being while creating specific programs and treatment approaches designed for your individual needs. Because Christine believes in proactive health care, she will often provide unique self-care tips and home exercises while her sensitive approach allows for the most effective treatment whether that is a soft hand or a deep tissue approach. She takes a holistic approach to your health combining the science and the art of massage, supporting the body’s natural ability to heal itself.
